Terms and Conditions

1. Who we are

We are Sambourne House Antiques Limited a company registered in England under number 3737100. Our address is Cove House, Swan Lane , Leigh, Nr Cricklade, Wiltshire , SN6 6RD , United Kingdom . Our VAT registration number is GB 535 664 233. This contract is for the supply and delivery of the furniture specified above. We have tried to make these terms as easy as possible to understand.

2. Delivery

We will try to deliver all furniture ordered as soon as possible usually within 28 days, but delivery time cannot be guaranteed. If delivery is likely to be made after 28 days we will contact you and ask you to confirm that you wish your order to proceed.

3. Furniture

We have tried to make our website as accurate as possible. However, the images displayed on our website are illustrative only and the actual product delivered may differ from that shown in some minor respects. All furniture are subject to availability. All measurements given are approximate and furniture displayed may not be the actual size stated. The colours shown are as close as the system allows them to be.

4. Payment

All prices shown are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Payment must be enclosed with your order. Payment can be by personal cheque drawn on a UK bank and must be crossed "A/C payee only" if not already so crossed. Payment may also be made by debit, credit or charge card by completing the following details [?]. We use a secure gateway to collect your credit card details. The information that you send to us about payment is encrypted and passed to our bank on a separate link.

5. Acceptance of your order

At the end of the shopping process on this website you will be shown the final amount and asked to confirm your order before it is sent to us. We will confirm receipt of your order and availability of stock by email. Your order will be accepted by us only when we email you specific acceptance of your order. We will then prepare your order for despatch. If you need to make any changes, please contact us as soon as possible. Delivery is to UK credit/debit/charge card billing addresses only. Ownership of the goods remains with us until payment has been received in full. Should the goods you have ordered for any reason become unavailable, we reserve the right to offer you goods of an equivalent or better value. You may return any such replacement goods at our cost by use of a reply-paid label. As part of our continuing service to you, the customer, we have established a helpline. It can be contacted between 9.30am and 5.30pm on the following numbers [ insert number ].

6. Your right to cancel

You have a right to cancel your order at any time up to seven working days from the day after your receipt of the furniture. Please note that this right does not apply to furniture made to your specification (including various non-standard finishes or colours chosen) or which is clearly personalised. For health and safety reasons we are not able to accept the return of mattresses (unless either they have not been unwrapped or their return is because of a manufacturing fault). To check if the item you are ordering is returnable please call our office before you place an order. If you wish to test a mattress please keep it wrapped until you are sure you want to keep it. In the event of cancellation by you, the furniture must be returned to us at your expense in perfect condition with its original packaging and paperwork related to the original sale. You may cancel your order by sending or delivering us a letter, by post, fax or e-mail. We cannot accept cancellations by phone unless these are confirmed by any of the methods just specified.

7. Damaged Furniture

When the furniture is delivered to you please check carefully that the furniture and its packaging are in good condition. If there are any signs of damage please mark the delivery note accordingly (as otherwise it can affect our claim against our carriers). In the unlikely event that your furniture has been damaged in transit, you must tell us in writing and either send us a picture or provide other evidence of the damage. We may offer a partial refund for the damage or replace the damaged furniture or issue a refund for the furniture.

8. General

No third party may rely on any term of the contract between us under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. We (or our suppliers) own the copyright in this website. You may copy the text for your personal use only and not for any other reason. These terms and the contract between us shall be governed by English law and you and we submit to the jurisdiction of the English Courts

9. These terms and conditions can be printed by you and will be attached to the email we send you confirming that we have received your order.

We keep to a minimum the information that we hold about you. Under no circumstances will we transfer information about you to anyone outside our company.
